It is made from 100% Montepulciano grapes rigorously harvested by hand in boxes starting from the second half of October in the Cru di Cave in San Martino sulla Marruccina. The 5 hectares of vineyards are arranged in thick rows of vineyards grown in guyot for about 30 years; the very high density of plantation allows to obtain a limited production, of great concentration and quality.

The ‘Legend’ series by Gérard Bertrand is an extremely limited edition of rare old wines whose origin is not revealed except for the name, vintage and blend. With the intricate decoration, the colours are melted into the glaze at 1000 degrees C. Here the glaze softens and the décor sinks into it, thus making colour and luminosity indestructible. It is scratch- and wear-resistant. However, gold decors are not totally scratch-resistant by virtue of their natural material properties. This décor was tested by the Rosenthal Institute for Material Technology.
