To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Porsche Design Eyewear, P'8478 came out in a limited special edition: The unmistakable lens shape, the characteristic nose bridge and the revolutionary interchangeable lens mechanism are presented with a trendy matte black frame made of ultra-lightweight titanium, gradient lenses and a gold-colored nose bridge.

The special edition is supplemented by four pairs of replacement lenses in the colors blue gradient, brown, olive/silver mirrored, and mercury/silver mirrored. The model is available in two sizes and is limited to 1978 units, making the P’8478 “40Y” a true collector’s item.
